Hope Is Contagious

Everywhere we look kind acts are creating hope. Today is August 7, and two stories about kindness caught my eye:

The first:

How a nasty note from a neighbor helped bring out the best in humanity

A group of strangers came together to help a family struggling to care for a very sick child. As Randa Ragland, the recipient of both the unkind note and the amazing efforts of strangers, says, “Kindness goes along way.”

The second:

Actor Danny Trejo and another bystander, Monica Jackson, freed a child from an overturned car.

Trejo had this to offer when interviewed later:

“Everything good that has happened to me has happened as a direct result of helping someone else,” Trejo told CNN affiliate KABC. “Everything.”
